Family Recipes


Straight Smithered!

Pour Smither Family Salsa or Dillapeño into a bowl and serve with tortilla chips.  That's it... nothing else... it doesn't get any better!

Fancy & Festive

Pour Dillapeño over cream cheese for a sweet & spicy dip/spread or mix Smither's Salsa with sour cream for a Southwest style dip.  Both go great with crackers, veggies, chips, and just about anything else.  At Christmas, serve both side-by-side for a red and green holiday combo!

Smithered Meat

Marinade you chicken, fish, pork, or beef in Dillapeño or Salsa before cooking it up.  You can always slather it on as it's finishing to top it off.

SUPER SECRET SURPISE YOUR FRIENDS RECIPE: mix Dillapeño into raw burger meat or meatloaf before you pack and heat it for the ultimate sweet-and-spicy surprise.

Smithered Queso

Stir Smither's Salsa or Dillapeño into melted Velveeta cheese until it has just the right amount of spice and flavor.

"The Secret Ingredient"

Spread Dillapeño on to sandwiches, burgers, BBQ, and hot dogs.  Even better - mix Dillapeño into the mayonnaise and then spread on sandwiches, burgers, BBQ, and hot dogs.

Smithered Guacamole!

Mash ripe avocados, stir-in Smither's Salsa, and add some salt to taste for a quick and extremely easy guacamole dip. 

Smithered Eggs

Serve Smither's Salsa or Dillapeño in, on, or with eggs (fixed any style) at breakfast.

Top your baked potato with Smither's Salsa or Dillapeñ’s tasty and low calorie.

Deviled Eggs with a Kick

For the best deviled eggs in the world, mix Dillapeño with the cooked yolk.  It is not necessary to add any mayonnaise, as the juice from the Dillapeño is enough.  Just add a little salt.

Low-Cal Taco Salad Dressing

Use Smither's Salsa as a tasty and low-cal salad dressing.

"It Ain't Easy Being Cheesy"

Spread some Dillapeño with mac and cheese, pimento cheese, or grilled cheese sandwiches.

Smithered Salads

Slowly stir Dillapeño into tuna, chicken, egg, or potato salad to spice it up just enough for your taste buds.  No mayonnaise required.‚Äč

Bloody Smither

Add Smither's Salsa juice to your favorite bloody mary recipe for a fresh kick!

"Nuts Over Dillapeno"

Press cream cheese into the bottom of a shallow dish, spread drained Dillapeño over it and top with chopped smoked almonds.  Serve with crackers.

Smither Sauchos (Sausage Nachos)

Slice sausage into round disks, melt a piece of Pepper Jack cheese, top with Dillapeño and serve with a toothpick.

Uncle Dave's Cole Slaw

Combine 1 cabbage head (shredded), 2 carrots (shredded), 1 apple (sliced), 6 oz. Marie's Colesaw Dressing, 2 tsp lime juice, and 2 tbsp Dillapeño for a coleslaw with zing!

Texas Tartar Sauce

Add 2 tablespoons of Dillapeño, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste to one  cup of mayonnaise.

Celery Boat

Fill a celery stick with goat or cream cheese and top with Dillapeño.

Dillapeño over vanilla ice cream.  Believe it.

Jordan's Dillapeño Coleslaw


Chop 1/2 head of purple cabbage, 1/2 head of white cabbage, and 1/2 cup of green onion.  Mix together with 1 jar Dillapeño and season with salt/pepper as needed for a refreshing sweet-and-spicy coleslaw!

Betty's Famous Dillapeño Pimento Cheese

Ingredients: 2 lbs. American Cheese, 1/2 cup Dillapeño, 1/2 lb. Velveeta Jalapeno Cheese, 4 large jars chopped pimento, 2 teaspoon prepared mustard, 1 cup Miracle Whip, Dillapeño juice to taste

Instructions: Grate all cheese and mix in other ingredients in a large bowl.  Determine amount of Dillapeño and Dillapeño juice according to taste and consistency of mixture.  This makes a very large amount and will keep in the refrigerator several weeks.

Tim's Amazing Citrus Dip (+Dillapeño)

Mix 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup sour cream with 3 tablespoons of Tim's Texas 2 Step Citrus Rub and 3 tablespoons of Dillapeño.  It's AMAZING!

Anita's Dirty Dillapeño Martini

Mix 4 ounces of vodka, 2 ounces of Dillapeño juice, and 2 tabelspoons vermouth in shaker with ice.  Serve in a chilled glass and garnish with a pickle jalapeño.

Lynn's Dillapeño Roll-Ups

Spread cream cheese and Dillapeño onto flour tortilla.  Lay turkey over spread, roll up, and slice into discs.

Dan's Cowboy Baked Beans

Mix 2 tabelspoons Woody's Smoke-In BBQ Sauce, 3 tablespoons Dillapeño, and one 15 oz. can beans of your choice.  Bake in oven for 20 minutes or heat on stove top.  Sprinkle with salt/pepper and Tim's 2 Step Citrus Rub to season.

Raeven's Sweet with a Kick Guacamole Dip

Prepare 2 and a half avocados.  Mash together with 1/4 cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons Dillapeño, 2 tablespoons Salsa, dash of lime, salt, and pepper.
